House of Prayer

A daily spiritual practice of ministering to the Lord through meditation, prayer, and intercession.

One thing I have desired of the Lord, That I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

Psalm 27:4

What is the House of Prayer?

As a spiritual community, the House of Prayer is a spiritual practice of ministering to the Lord. Daily scripture is meditated upon in a worshipful environment led by a facilitator. As we wait upon the Lord, we pray under the guidance of the Holy Spirit for various topics and needs. In a world full of much noise, the House of Prayer is a place to slow down, quiet the soul, and commune with the Lord. We hope you can join us.

Meeting Times

Meeting Times: Friday @ 7:30 PM

 Location: Prayer Chapel

*If there is a reserved sign on the chapel door, please join us in the lobby instead*

Spiritual Practices

Meditation

Everything begins with beholding the Lord through the Word of God and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As we read the portion of scripture for the day, we deeply contemplate the Word as we worship the Lord.

Confession

Prayer is an act of communication. We engage with the Lord as we confess the truth of God expressed in the Word. Confession is the act of agreement from the human soul/spirit with the knowledge of God.

Intercession

Intercession is making prayer and petition on behalf of another. We believe that just as Jesus sits on the throne forever to make intercession, we as a body get to participate in this most glorious ministry.

Our Sacred Trust

As a community of prayer, the Sacred Trust is our commitment before the Lord to minister to Him and pray with Him in the place of intercession. The house of prayer is not a program but rather is a reality that we live out. If you would like to learn more about our spiritual discipline practice, download our manual below.
